Cauliflower Crust Cheese Sticks

Yes confused? well I was too. Pizza and from cauliflower? I went to thru this recipe atleast 10 times and then I decided to give it a shot. I was so skeptical about this that I made something else also for lunch but I am glad that I made this. It is easy and tasty and healthy too. Now a days every big and famous restaurant having this on their menu. Just because every one is now a days in to Low card diet. So it works for diet conscious people. So before I try outside I wanted to see if I am going to like it or not. I made it as cheese sticks , if you want you can make it as pizza too.

Ingredients:

1/4  head of cauliflower or 2 cups of riced cauliflower (grate cauliflower on cheese grater)
1 egg (if using no egg,  mix water, oil and baking powder)
1 cup Mozzarella cheese
4 cloves garlic finely chopped
1 tsp. dried oregano ( you can have any dried herb)

For toppings

1/4 cup marinara sauce
1/4 cup mozzarella cheese

Method :

Preheat the oven at 450 F.

Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and spray it too.

In a bowl combined riced cauliflower, egg, cheese, garlic and oregano.
Put it on parchment paper and with your hand or spoon make it even and nice layer.
Bake it at 450 for 15 minutes.
Remove the cookie sheet from pan.
Add marinara sauce and cheese and put it again in oven for 10 minutes or until cheese is nice bubbly and melted. This time you can decide if you want to make pizza add another toppings like onion, peppers or olives  also and then put it in the oven.
Take it and let it stand for 5 minutes and then cut it in desired shape or just make it sticks.
Served it with side of Marinara sauce and Enjoy.

  12. Good one Linsy. I had used cauliflower instead of rice when I was on a diet. Liked the idea of using it as a pixza base.
