Tell you the truth I have to use up two very ripe bananas. That's the reason I baked this. Again it is Eggless and Whole-wheat cake. I didn't have a bread pan so I make this as a cake. But you can, by all means, make it bread too. I added raisins, almonds, and walnuts too to make kids eat this, I put chocolate chips on top. What do I say, my trick works. So here we go with another healthy cake/bread recipe.
Ingredients:
1 cup Whole Wheat flour
2 very ripe bananas
1/2 cup brown or white sugar
2 tbsp yogurt
1/4 cup whole milk
1/3 cup oil
3 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla essence
pinch of nutmeg and dalchini powder (cinnamon powder)
1 tsp each baking powder and baking soda
1 cup of mixed chopped nut (almonds, raisins, walnuts)
handful of chocolate chips
Method:
Preheat oven to 350 F.
In a blender put oil, yogurt, vanilla essence, milk and bananas. Make a fine puree out of it.
In a big bowl, add all powder ingredients, flour, sugar, salt, nutmeg, dalchini powder, baking soda and powder.
Add puree and mix it. Before baking check for sweetness. Adjust if you need more sugar.

ReplyDeleteWow.. this looks like a yum recipe! I love cakes but I am so bad at baking (0% success rate) that I better not try my hands at it. Let me know if you have a 100% fool-proof recipe to start with and may be once my confidence is restored, I can give this a try.
