Cinnamon Roll Waffle

Yum
My kids loves cinnamon rolls for the breakfast. Its long process but for them I love to do it always. They informed me when they want to eat so its easy for me to get prepared everything and in the morning just baked it and served them warm when they get up. So one day they "informed' me that tomorrow they want to have cinnamon rolls for breakfast. I was ready but wanted to try something different this time, so knowing my kids, I made 4 as a rolls and 3 made it in waffle maker as waffle. Well it was far better than rolls and its easy , crunchy and fast than baked one too. Surprisingly my picky kids loved it too. They were asking for more but didn't have it so next time its going to be more of waffle than rolls. Its a same process like rolls but instead of baking in the oven just put it in waffle maker and you are done in five minutes.

Ingredients for Dough

2 cups flour
2 tablespoons sugar
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons butter
 3/4 cup milk

Filling
4 tablespoons butter
1 cup brown sugar or 1 cup white sugar
3 teaspoons cinnamon

Glaze
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/4 cup milk

 Method:

For the filling, in a small bowl combine softened butter, brown sugar and cinnamon to form a crumbly mixture.

In a large bowl mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

Cut in softened butter (sometimes your hands are the best tools).
Stir in milk to form a soft dough.
Roll out dough on a lightly floured into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
Spread the filling on the rolled out dough.

Roll up the rectangle, with a sharp knife slice into 18 small rolls (12 if you want them a little bigger).
Heat up your waffle maker, put two rolls in it and close it. Cook till its done, for 5 minutes.
Depend upon your waffle maker so check after 4 minutes. If it still sticks to machine, its not done.
Keep it for minute or two.
For Glaze, Combine powdered sugar and milk in a small bowl and stir until smooth.
Once waffle is done, spread the glaze on top and enjoy with your coffee or tea or for kids hot chocolate or milk

This was for me and with tea I don't like too sweet so I just spread little bit of glaze.
