Chocolate Chip Cookie Brownie Bar

Yum
Yes you are reading it correct. It's marriage made in heaven. Chocolate chip cookie and brownie in one dish , who don't like it. When my kids come home after school  they have only one question, what is a surprise today? cause I make them something to eat after school everyday. They both love cookies and brownies so I thought why not to combine them and there it is.

First I thought not to write anything, just give you pictures , you know just to tease you all. Let me assure you these bars are delicious. I am sure you want it. Do one thing, go through recipe and make it at home, it will be done in 25 minutes and you will get 30-35 pieces. I cut big cause I want kids to eat more and done with it so I can make something else.

Ingredients for the Brownie:
4 oz. unsweetened chocolate finely chopped
1 cup unsalted butter at room temp.
2 cups light brown sugar
1 egg
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup all purpose flour

Ingredient for Chocolate chip cookies:
2 cups AP flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 cup butter softened
3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 eggs
2 cup chocolate chips

Method:
Heat the oven at 375 F.
In a one big bowl mix all the ingredients of brownie and keep it aside.
In other bowl, mix everything for cookies.
Take a 8 x 8 baking pan, grease the pan with butter.

First pour all the brownie mix and spread it.

Drop cookie dough by rounded tablespoons evenly on to brownie batter.
Bake for 20-23 minutes or until cookie dough is golden brown.

Cool completely in pan on wire rack. cut the desired size pieces. and Store tightly covered.

You can make this in muffin style also. same way put brownie batter first and then cookie dough. Bake it at 350 F. for 20 minutes and you will have yummy cups.
