My kids love anything with cinnamon , specially cinnamon rolls, so when ever I have chance I baked rolls for them. But wanted to try something new with cinnamon so was looking for recipes and find this one and it looks easy and no fancy ingredients and cake comes out perfect. I love anything with crumb on top of the cake, don't like with fruits but this goes very well with apple inside and coffee too. will try to post those recipes later on too. so lets heat up the oven and start working on cake.
Ingredients for Crumb :
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 tbsp. ground cinnamon
Mix together in bowl and keep it aside.
Ingredients for cake:
1 package white cake mix
1 egg
1 cup sour cream
1/4 cup butter melted
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Method:
Preheat the oven at 350 F.
Beat cake mix, egg, sour cream, butter and vanilla extract in bowl with electric mixture or beater till it combined well and no lumps are there.
Pour it half in the baking dish and spread half of the crumb mixture on top of it.
with butter knife swirl it and make a marble effect.
Then add the rest of the batter on top of it and then rest of the crumb on top of it.
Put it in the oven and bake it for 30-40 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
Let it cool completely and then cut it in square pieces to serve.
Enjoy with hot cup of tea or coffee.

ReplyDeletecinnamon is my most fav spice. I can eat it raw and pretty much everything..hehe. That cake is so welcoming and delish. All one needs for a perfect combo is a cup of black coffee :))
