Ingredients :
Marinade :
2 tsp. Tamari sauce or soy sauce
1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
1 tbsp. Red chili powder, you can use your favorite and adjust the quantity as per your spice level
2 tbsp. ginger garlic finely chopped
1 tsp. oil
1 tbsp. corn starch
For the Sauce
1/2 cup dry soy curls
1 tbsp. oil
5 cloves of finely chopped garlic
1 inch ginger finely chopped
5-6 dry red chilies
1/4 cup green onions cut
1 cup blanched broccoli
1 small green capsicum
4 tbsp. tamari sauce
4 tbsp. ketchup
1 tbsp. sambal oelek
1 tsp. sugar
salt if needed
6 tbsp. water
1 tbsp. cornstarch
green onion or white sesame seeds for garnish
Method :
Soak soy curls in hot water for 5 minutes. Then drain and take out excess water.
Mix the ingredients of marinade except corn starch and put the soy curls in it and sprinkle corn starch on it.
If you want heat up a pan and cook the soy curls till all the marinade is dry up and curls become crispy or baked it in air fryer for 20 minutes or as you like. keep it aside.
In a bowl, mix tamari, ketchup, sambal oelek, sugar and mix it. keep it aside.
In a pan add oil and add ginger garlic and dried red chilies and cook till the ginger garlic raw smells goes away.
then add broccoli and green capsicums and white part of green onions and cook it till capsicum cooks slightly.
No w add ketchup mixture and mix well.
Mix cornstarch with water and add it also.
when everything is nice and bubbly, add crispy soy curls and mix it with sauce and shut off the gas
Serve hot with just plain white rice and sprinkle green onions or sesame seeds on top and enjoy.
Instead of soy curls you can use chicken, jackfruit also.
