Microwave Mysore Pak

Yes , don't believe me. its true. You can make Mysore pak in microwave in under 3 minutes, it has very less amount of ghee in it but the taste oh you have to try it for that. My favorite sweets are Mysore pak and son papdi. Both are very hard to make and time consuming and heavily laded with ghee. So when ever I visit India to my parents place, I tried to eat this two and then savor those taste till my next visit. But since last 10+ years I could not spend a day in my parents house so you can imagine the cravings, so I asked my parents to send me those sweets when they send me my spices. But last year I came across this recipe since then I made it and I asked my mom , my sister to make it because its no brainer recipe. Try it if you don't believe me. By the time your guest arrived and you make tea for them , this will be ready.

Ingredients :

1 cup besan / chickpea flour
1 cup powder sugar / or as per your taste
1/2 cup ghee
2 tbsp. Milk

Method :

Take a pan, add 1 tsp. of ghee and besan and roast it on low flame , till you get nice aroma. Make sure you don't burn it, otherwise it will turn red. you just have to cook to get the raw smell out, only for 2-3 minutes.
Take microwave bowl / dish. Add rest of the ghee and put it in microwave for 30 seconds so it melts.
mix sugar, besan, milk in that ghee mixture nicely so there is no lump in it.
Put it in microwave for 2 minutes. Mine was done in two minutes.
you will see the small holes like traditional mysore pak. If you want like that, keep it in same container and after 5 minutes, cut it in your favorite shape
Or you can empty it in greased dish and cut it in desired shape.
I take it out in dish and cut it in long bars so I can enjoy most of it.
Happy Diwali and all Gujjus Happy New Year too.

Put it in air tight container and serve it to your guest at Diwali this quick but delicious MW Mysore Pak.
